HELPFUL INFORMATION

Reman's have proven to be just as if not even more reliable in some cases however it's important to note that all remans are not created equal.

When you buy a reman product from a reputable brand, each part is fully dissasembled and inspected and any components that show signs of wear or damage are replaced prior to reassemby.

What separates a good builder from a bad one comes down to the parts and processes used. It’s imperative to do your own research or seek advice from a professional when replacing these components, as they are critical to your engine’s reliability.

A core charge is essentially just a deposit that is billed up front to cover the cost of the part prior to it being rebuilt.

Manufacturer's rely on cores to in order to keep these products on hand and this speeds up the manufacturing process while reducing the overall cost of the product itself.

These charges are fully refundable if you have a good core to send back. All cores are to be returned directly to the manufacturer and the refund is generally initiated within 5-7 business days of your core return.

The lift pump is also a vital component of the common rail injection system tasked with keeping the CP3 supplied with enough fuel to feel the injectors at all times.

Factory lift pumps are generally capable of flowing enough fuel to support up to around 500HP when in proper working condition. Similar to the CP3, a weak or insufficient lift pump can also cause hard/no start conditions along with low rail pressure and drivability issues.

You can go as big as you want on the lift pump but we recommend choosing the one that best fits your horesepower goals while leaving a little room to grow.

LIFT PUMP SIZES & HP RATINGS:

100GPH: 600HP
165GPH: 900HP (MOST POPULAR)
220GPH: 1000+HP
250GPH: 1200+HP

The best injector choice comes down to your horsepower goals and the mods you have to support them.

Not Enough Injector:
Turbo lag, poor low end acceleration and wasted top end performance.

Too Much Injector:
Excessive smoke and EGT's with potential damage to the engine in extreme cases.

Lift Pumps and Custom tuning are always recommended for oversized injectors as this ensures the best performance and reliability. Tuning is a widly useful tool that can be used to adjust the fuel output to ensure that your setup is dialed in, preventing the issues we've mentioned above.

Below are a conservative estimate of what each injector is capable of supporting.

15% Over (50HP): 550HP
30% Over (90HP):  650HP
60% Over (200HP): 875HP
100% Over (250HP): 900HP
150% Over (300HP): 1100HP

The CP3 injection pump is the heart of the common rail injection system and its job is to keep enough pressurized fuel on tap for the injectors at all times.

A weak or insufficient CP3 often results in a low rail pressure condition (P0087 DTC) where the CP3 fails to provide enough fuel to the injectors, this is often shows up as a complete loss in performance under mid to heavy throttle.

CP3 HP RATINGS:

STOCK CP3: 500-550HP
33% OVER CP3: 700HP
10MM CP3: 850HP
12MM CP3: 1050HP
14MM CP3: 1200+HP
XP SERIES: 1500+HP
DUAL STOCK CP3: 1200HP
