2003-2007 5.9 Cummins Lift Pumps

The lift pump on a common rail injection system is a key component that serves the purpose of keeping enough fuel on tap for the CP3 and Injectors at all times. Oversized lift pumps are capable of flowing more fuel to keep up with higher demands. Some aftermarket lift pumps such as the Fass and Airdog systems include external filters that keep water and debris out of the system resulting in less wear and damage to the CP3 and Injectors.
