PPE's Cast Iron Cylinder Head's are a direct replacement designed to eliminate several of the common issues associated with the cast aluminum heads that are used from the factory. These heads are constructed of a specialized gray cast iron material that provides a substantial increase in strength, durability, and their ability to withstand excessive heat.
One of the major benefits to these heads is that they share the same heat transferring properties as the cast iron engine block, this eliminates gasket scrubbing and makes them far less susceptible to cracks and/or warping which typically renders the oem heads useless.
Another huge improvement to these cylinder heads is their "cast-in injector cups" which is a provision that allows you to install the injectors directly into to the cylinder head, eliminating the cost, time and concern of replacing the injector cups.
Each head features powder metal valve seats with nitrated 214N valves, chromoly retainers and tapered springs to eliminate valve float while substantially reducing engine clatter.
