Description
Exergy's Improved Stock CP4 pump comes with their System Saver Inlet Metering Valve installed. This inlet valve replaces the factory single layer 85 micron inlet screen that is molded in a plastic frame with a two layer 10 micron screen which is mounted on a stainless steel frame that will not fail when the screen fills with debris and becomes a restriction. Not only is the screen over eight times finer than the factory screen, but the addition of another layer further increases protection from debris.
Based on a number of injector sets tested from systems with a failed pump with a System Saver installed it appears that injector survivability is increased more than 85% when compared to pump failures with the factory screen.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Note: We recommend using the stock factory lift pump with this CP4.2. It has enough flow with at the target feed pressure to support 900hp. If an aftermarket lift pump is used, it will need a minimum pressure capability of 86psi.
This pump can be used as a direct replacement for Bosch part numbers 0 445 010 874 and 0 445 010 845, Cummins Part numbers 5398300 and 5669698, as well as Mopar part numbers 68563967AA and 68526413AA.
