Mishimoto's Catch Can Kit was designed to keep your engine clean and healthy by removing the crankcase gasses and vapors from the intake system. Over time, these vapors and deposits build up inside of the intake tracts and around the valves leading to poor performance and even catastrophic failure in extreme situations.
The EcoBoost engine uses what's known as direct injection, where fuel is directly injected beneath the valves and into the combustion chamber. Although this provides a substantial benefit to the engines performance and efficiency, it eliminates the natural cleaning process that occurs when fuel passes through the intake system on a non-direct engine.
This kit includes both serviceable canisters with a heavy duty bracket along with all hoses and fittings needed for a clean and simple installation.
