The BD heater kit was designed as a simple addition to Airdog fuel systems to help prevent the reliability issues with diesel fuel that can occur when exposed to sub freezing temperatures.
When diesel fuel is subject colder temperatures it begins to freeze and crystalize in a process commonly referred to as "fuel gelling". In the event that this occurs, it is possible to experience hard or even no start conditions which can lead to unnecessary wear and tear on other components within the fuel system.
This kit features a self regulating 320 Watt heating element that is placed between the water separator and filter head supplying up to 3X the heating power of most single heating elements.
